Elim in the Community

Elim has always been a mission-focused Church - it isn’t a special side project, it’s who we are. We concentrate our efforts on partnering with those already having an impact in our city and across the nations of the world.

Local Business
Initiatives:

Capital Care Health Centre

Starting in one room back in 1994, Capital Care now reaches over 3000 patients offering a pro-life decision for pregnant mothers, discounted rates for those who need support and Christian-values-based health care.

Elim International Kids

E.I.K Is our early childhood centre. This provides a great service to our local community with Christian values at the core.

Local Outreach
Initiatives:

Serve Day

Have a practical skill and a heart to help others? Serve Days are an opportunity to share the love of Jesus by offering practical help to those in our Community. From painting a fence, cooking food, gardening or customer service, it's all about being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Whānau Feeds

Elim is committed to serving vulnerable individuals and families experiencing food insecurity by providing ready to heat meals through our community freezer. The freezer is filled on a weekly basis through the generosity of those who donate funds and their time to cook meals. Meals are currently being distributed through our partnerships with Downtown Community Ministries (DCM), Kainga Ora, Mt Cook School and via Foodbank NZ.

Whānau Christmas Box

The Whānau Christmas Box is an opportunity for families in need to share a special meal at Christmas together. Each box contains $100 worth of grocery items that will make up Christmas Dinner with dessert for a family of four. In 2022 we distributed 700 boxes through our community connections; in 2023 we hope to bless 1000 households with a Whānau Box at Christmas.
